Sea Week

In conjunction with Shellharbour Council, Year 1 students conducted some 'hands on' investigations. Mrs Atkins and Mrs Munro had their classes participate in ‘Sea Week’ activities.  They constructed a model beach and learnt about the importance of and interaction of sand dunes, dune plants waves and sea creatures.  Then they studied a catchment model to learn the effects of pollution on the marine environment and to find out what they can do to help keep the sea clean.  Our thanks go to Kellie Parker, Environmental Officer at Shellharbour council for organising the activities.
