Recess: 10.55 - 11:15 am
Lunch: 1:00 - 1:55 pm

Supervision of Children
Teacher supervision of children begins at 8.30am. Children need not be at school before then. For safety reasons, those children who are here are required to sit in the Quadrangle Area near the Figtree.

Dismissal
Children are dismissed from their classrooms at 2:55 pm. Teachers will supervise the crossings and the bus lines. When the last bus departs at about 3:05 pm teacher supervision ends for the day.
Generally, however, the Principal and staff members will be at school to ensure that all children are collected. If you are unavoidably detained and cannot pick up children, contact the school to avoid the children becoming distressed.
We ask that parents or carers picking up younger children and not in direct walkways. Classroom doorways and hat rooms tend to be over crowded at 2:55 pm. If you need to collect children before 2:55 pm please either:-

  • send a note to class teacher advising the time you are coming or

  • approach the office and complete entry in “Early Departure Book”.

These routines are for the children’s safety. Please inform your child where you will meet them and try to anticipate extreme weather by nominating a meeting place in the event of a storm.

Car Parking
For safety reasons cars should not be driven into school grounds. Please observe all safety signs and park where children and yourself can use the pedestrian crossings.

Pedestrian Crossings
The school has 3 crossings:- - Mary Street - Towns Street - Addison Street The Mary St crossing is supervised by trained personnel in the mornings from 8.00 – 9.00 and in the afternoons from 2.30 to 3.30

All other crossings are supervised by teachers at 2:55 pm but not before school.
